Aisyah has contacts there, and has kindly contacted her tour guide to quote us the itenary and prices. i need u all to confirm ur place AFTER THE HOLIDAYS!! we need to do this quick, the later we book the more expensive, and the more busy we are gonna get.

w Hotel = RM 6480 for 9 rooms for 3 nights (one room is IDR 600,000 for 6 people inclusive of breakfast) – MASA INN KUTA (Very cheap!!)

w Food = ??? (dinner at Jimbaran on day 3, very pricy but not to be missed!!! It is spectacular! Would IMU consider sponsor us for one dinner?)

w Flight = estimation price RM 400 2 ways per person (for 50 students = RM 20,000) – the price rate is very unpredictable and purely based on luck.

w Transport = RM 4800 for 8 cars that can fit 7 people (3 full days inclusive of driver/guide, sarong, cold tower, water, soft drink and petrol – cheap!!!)

HOTEL + TRANSPORT + FLIGHT = RM 31,280

all entrance fees to places of attraction (generally not pricy-less than RM10), donations and your meals are not included)

This itinerary was not made via travel agent. We are safe from any hidden charges. I contacted Mr Dean the driver directly and this guy is working alone and he is highly in demand internationally. He is honest and trustworthy. He has a detailed knowledge of the entire island. He has a great sense of what is “worth seeing” and what is not as well as fabulous suggestions for restaurants, hotels, and photo opportunities. Dean is completely reliable and a very safe driver. As for the hotel, we can book directly online or via telephone booking.

hey ppl... i did some researching on our class trip, and i found that GROUND TRIP for local and some overseas tours are almost the same. the diff is onli the airfare.

date: 10-20 August 2009 (between exam finish and convocation) not sure exactly when

for sure, all listed venues are within RM3XX- 500. EXCLUDING air fares. it DOES include accomodation (dun expect Hilton), food, transports, tour guide and shows. all packages are for 4 days 3 nights.

Air asia would take the lowest and highest prices, then average it out, with some discounts. We cant negotiate with them, cos we're NOT chartering the WHOLE PLANE!! price range would be around RM 300++ return ticket for all destinations per person (for overseas la).

anyone has contacts with MAS???

so far, the cheapest tour (highly recommended) is Thailand, and it covers beaches as well as shopping trips. prices starts from RM340. (prostitutes fees excluded) The most expensive is Siem Reap (u know...angkor wat??)

b4 i start with all the happy new year, gong xi gong xi and dragon horse semen god, just wanna share something really surprising and meaningful that happened some time ago.. patient N, 12 year old malay gal, admitted for viral fever. while chatting and taking history from the mom, she suddenly said, y dun u talk to her in chinese??? apparently, shes been to chinese skool all her life! and from there, i took down more info from her...

and b4 she was discharged, she gave a doctor a small note, which was then passed to a fren, and landed up with me...
says : 万事如意, 身体健康, 笑口常开, with a little drawing of me there... really made my day...

and to everyone celebrating CNY.. i wish the same to u all too!!

im not enjoying the new year at all...i can see stress everywhere, i can feel the heat of the exams, and im not well!!!

My 3 day stint of 2009.....

while everyone is busy planning their new year celebrations on the 31st... i was quietly feeling uneasy inside..its like an impending fever, yet something was just not rite about it...

Yes, i do often get URTI, even more so AGE, but nth as affected me seriously before. and im definately not the type tht skip classes becos of aches and pains...

then comes new years day....when i dragged myself up to get stuff to cook dinner....it was quite an adventure ordering live chicken to be slaughtered, walking away when the prices is too high..then going back again... that afternoon, i had a bout of fever, onli to get well by the evening. i cooked, invited frens over....and everyone had a good time. (pics coming up soon)

that nite... my core temperature soared, and my extrimities froze. i shivered and cuddled myself underneath some sofa, while i melted a big chunk of ice on my forehead. and my back hurts badly in watever position im in. in the morning, i tried to swallow some water, with severe pain in my throat, and a sense of both my eardrums getting pulled in. i went to a private GP, onli to receive a diagnosis of URTI. after more painkillers which are basically useless, i opted to go back in the noon time.

after seeing my condition which is worsening every hour, dad sent me to UMMC. now, i got more than 1 person asking me..y UMMC??? 1. because its much better than govn hospitals like seremban, yet its not fully private osso..i wanted to know what exactly i got, and onli be admitted if i really need to. 2. i know where to register, wheres the pharmacy, etc etc. 3. of cos... no need to spend a bomb getting drugs la.. but as u can read later, this hospital is as good as any in the world!!!

in UMMC, the story changes. i was offered to be admitted, knowing that im not tolerating well orally, and after checking my tonsils, the doctor's expression changed slightly. i was immedialtely rehydrated, and after running some blood test, was wheeled to Menara Timur ward 7D (ENT ward). now, guess where they put me.. 6 person a cubicle? 4? 2?

wat i got, which i totally didn request...is a BIG private room, along with an attached bathroom, and its negative pressured!!! one button gets u anything u want from frendly staff nurses...

..and...with a view like this... so...next time ppl ask me y UMMC... ill just say...y not???

now... of cos... nth is fun about staying in hospital. back to the story, i was given IV Augmentin 1.5 g tds bolus injection. but wat i didn know...is that its WWAAYY PAINFUL!! were talking about an injection that burns ur vein from inside out, tracking all the way to the axillary vein. it sends a throbbing signal from ur whole arm, and it should be given as a slow injection. after that, the world around u is spinning, ur mind goes blank, and ur whole body weak. if u still dun get it, this picture will explain.

instead of the usual green shirt, they prefer to give u something to be spotted from a mile away..

i was given 6 units of drip in 12 hours, oral pcm, more drips, and tasty meals which i cant eat, being woken up time and time again during my precious sleep for BP and temperature. vomited my guts out at nite, had profuse diarrhea......

its true wat they say, that u learn much more about kids by being a father, not being a paediatrician. the same way, i have learned much from this experience

that staff nurses can be so cheerful and helpful while being busy, unlike seremban wans, where they're always moody, angry and free!!! and that...makes all the difference in the universe!!

thats we, in seremban, are using very very ancient stuff, from branula to tables to infection control.

that hospital food can taste sooo nice

that ward rounds can be done without scoldings or sarcasms

that UM students are really a class of their own. i take my hats of to u, sou chen and james. they are humble, caring, hardworking and yet knowledgeble. FULL RESPECT!!

that even the best hospital can run out of tab pcm.

that every patient care is a multi discipline approach, rite down to the PPK.

and with that, i thank GOD, my family, all the doctors and staff nurses (especially the one that attended to me when im vomiting in the midnite. i cant even see her face properly, but truly an angel sent from above) PPKs, chefs, all my frens who visited and prayed and sent their wishes, everyone who cared for me, May God shower u all with all the blessings in return. and i wanna be a better doctor in the future. Amen.

Year End Sales

Its a fact of life that when u reach a certain age... u stop growing. its a blessing, of cos. it not, we will all need to sit in the back of lorries one day.
so..its also another fact...that if u keep buying clothes every year end (and new year)sales.. ull one day explode ur wardrobe, and u need to clear out some old stuff to prevent the hanging bar from collapsing. especially if u stopped growing like 4-5 years ago.

and as i did that, i kept thinking, wat was on my mind when i got tat?? some stuff could onli be described as my worst fashion enemy....BENGNESS!!!!

my memories go back to a day when i visited an orphanage, i still remember the looks on the kids faces, when they compared the second hand clothes that they got. theyre all happy, and recommending which shirt goes better with who, so grateful even though all they got was passed down clothes. and here i am, always particular about the slightest dot or crease on my shirt.

of cos...this pile are all in good condition, and when i send it to Shelter homes someday, i pray that itll make some teens there happy, and that theyll look good too!!

of cos..tat means Extraordinary Christmas Gift...the theme for the annual Christmas celebrations in IMU this year...
and it was certainly not just sinus rhythm... everything that was done was far better than last years..

from the performances by our own O&G specialist, to the touching drama (in which 4 ppl died tragically), to the wonderful story of the prodigal son... it all shows us the true meaning of Christmas is Jesus, who came to save us all..

unfortunately, these few blur pics is all i got....

Sabena Malini...my housemate for 2 years now....turned 23 on 20/11. she is single, available and able to squash a coconut to make santan using nth but her barehands, and could get from any 2 spot in Seremban within 15 mins with her kancil using only one elbow to drive, able to play piano and dance on stage!! so guys..wat are u all waiting for??intro aside, we had a little party at Kensington Seremban 2. Tek Jee cant be there, but his presence is certainly felt when we watched a little powerpoint presentation on the real women. This guy spent his weekend editing photos for it.. and it certainly made a great warm up to the dinner.With Shang, Anu and me

btw..for the uninitiated...to be a real woman, one must be able to eat an average to 2 bowls of rice each meal, carry 5 kg dumbells on each hand, reach ur destination ahead of the car in front of u, scold security guards, never see sunlight at home, and instill a sense of fear in guys. so..do u qualify???

not too long ago...i was treated to a wonderful bday dinner...by the same person whose bday falls on 5/11!!

As a surprise..we made some slides on her...stole some childhood pics from her blog...edited here and there...made it into a wacky/embarassing show to show her whole class after the last presenter during Prof Esha's class...then at the end of the slideshow...lights off and bring the cake in...
Or...tats wat we hoped would happen.....and...perhaps thankfully...it didnt.

and so...we gatherd at Kensington Terminal 2 for a birthday dinner....

for the bday gal: 1 crispy duck salad, prawn cheese, sizzling chicken in cheese, grilled chicken chunks curtesy of Melissa, and a slice of bday cake...not forgetting post celebration ice cream waffles in A&W... i guess the smiles in the pics says it all...

this whole posting..my heart rate was something like this..

i was sleep deprived, physically pushed, punched, slapped,...and if tat wasnt enough... i was verbally abused by juniors on the last day..(u know who u r...) the auntie (see below)..slipped into a coma...and watever we do seems to worsen the situation.

but now... i feel a big burden off my shoulders....just forget everything and truly relax for the weekend.

and i would like applaud IMU's best purchase ever....probably the only non smoking pool/ foosball place in the whole Seremban and some say Malaysia!! well done!! to dato kanda/siva and all those who demanded us not to sleep....i promise ill go on call every nite!!!!

13/10/08...a usual..tiring day... getting loads of lectures...seminars... palpitations if dato would ever appear and slice us..and coincidentally...its my 23rd bday!!!

was getting ready to go back until suddenly...the lights dimmed...and Shang and Sab appeared with EGGTARTS and candles on it!! how unusual!!

It was also post Hanis bday on 10/10...so we blew the candles together....too bad..the tarts were not Halal!! poor Hanis had to watch while everyone else munched the eggtarts and spilled crumbs all over.

luckily for me...the celebrations wasnt over! it was followed shortly by a simple and delicious dinner prepared by Ching Mun alone!!..at this point..Tek Jee was oledi thinking...'this lucky bas***d!!' (he actually said it out..so u can imagine how rare an occasion like this is )

the 4 dish dinner includes salted vege and tofu soup, bittergourd and chicken, vege and potatoes with pork... home cooked food is certainly hard to come by in seremban...i enjoyed it to the max!second round of bday songs by none other than Tek Jee aka brother Jeeand after all tat has happened..i coudnt have possibly wished for more....

A big thank you to Ching Mun for preparing dinner and all the stuff before tat...to Tek Jee and Sab for being the most wonderful housemates ever...

and to all those who send smses..Prof Loh, Sheng Wa, Fei fei, Su yi, Daniel, Ally, Shui Fen, Shabbi and Erin who sent from India, Mei Yee, Judy, Yun...i hope i didn miss anyone.. thanks for remembering!!

the best thing we can do...

from the first day i walked into the gynaecology ward....i knew it was far different from obstetrics..
no congrats for a new born....but many condolences for a life ended, coupled with the sorrows of infertility, cancer diagnosis, chronic aches and pains.....and u get the grim picture...

an aunty with stage IV cervical cancer was the first patient i clerked there... she cant move her legs, cant control her bowels, and was in pain all the time... took me 2 hours just to get a full history out of her... and subsequently... everytime i pass her...she wants me to sit down for as long as i can...talking to her...and moving her legs around...and the cycle continues the next day..
eventually, she learned to call out for me whenever she needs something... and i learned to try to avoid her visual field

this morning... Tek Jee and Feng took their patient, who has also stage 4 cancer, out for a stroll on the wheelchair...despite missing a colposcopy session

this afternoon...she developed some complications...situation became critical...we performed the last cycle of CPR on her...and she passed on around 5pm.

and wat my housemate did this morning... was probably the best and the most valuable thing anyone could ever do

as for me..i believe theres a better day after the sunset... and my faith in God gives me meaning in life and in everything i do

i went back to my aunty...inspired to give her my attention whenever i can..

the Kai Lan

i finally harvested my Kai Lan plot...just nice for 4 persons...but i gotta admit..although i planted it..its so fibrous its like chewing tree bark.. and although i didn use any weedicide, insecticide..its totally organic..but it still tasted bitter...EBM tat the bitterness is not from the watever chemicals...the 70+ year old Ah Mah staying beside my aunty in Muar, however, has this in her Kai Lan plot! if ur still wondering wat is it...yeah...its a MegaKailan!!! each leaf bigger than my hand.. and its ONE Kai Lan plant!! the Ah Mah also has tea leaf, sweet potato, etc etc...ensuring tat she never need to go pasar ever again. She just had phacoemulsification for her cataract, wakes up for tai chi every morning, rares 2 rabbits...and still looks tough like a tank!

i came back with renewed motivation to plant some other stuff in my little plot...stay tuned...

Legend has it tat a Sultan wanted to marry a princess.... he want to give gold..she says..beh sai! i want gold bridge..want to give silver..she say beh sai!! want silver bridge...then somemore want to drink 7 jars of virgin tears, 7 bowls of betel but juice..wanna eat 7 trays of mosquito heart.... kao peh kao bu complaint....then the sultan said....sama ho lu la..eh sai boh?? then she say...one more...one bowl of ur son's BLOOD!!! sultan tat time dunno one bowl wont die wan....anyway...He said 'siao cha bo##$%*() die la.!!!) ....and she lived there happily ever after..

the trip took us 40 minutes from Muar.. and some ambitious ppl wanted to climb it!! unfortunately, the sign there spells out the reason y we cant..

just a 30 minute walk up the mountain and ull come to a nice waterfall...since its drizzling tat time...the pressure of the stream was more powerful than usual...and its cooolllld!! a few dips and im shivering oledi...but the cold dun seem to affect Ching Mun though...haha

the old horse riding track tat my aunty mentioned has now became an ATV ground!! just for the heck of it since we havent tried b4, me and tek jee hopped on. me being crazy again, tried to rush up the slop, and me and the vehicle ended up in separate places. Tek jee was a bit more careful. just ended up ramming into a tree!!

and since Tek Jee brought 2 fishing rods, we tot we just give it a shot at Tanjung.. as it turns out...NO ONE was fishing there!!! it took some guts to climb down the railing hop around on the slippery rocks on the mud.. Ching Mun...ahem....wasnt too lucky as he dipped her legs into mud a few times....

so...as she went back up to find place to wash...it is up to Tek Jee alone to get a fish... in a low tide, polluted river. with onli one weight, which is thrown back by the waves everytime u cast out, and a china made fishing rod....with ppl all around watching...wondering how come theres a guy fishing here...waiting to see if he can even get an old boot...

and he waited.. and waited....as mosquitoes sucked his blood

and we came back to call it quits....

and voila!!!! fish!!! against all odds... although just a small one...but still..a small miracle given the situation tat time.. bravo tek jee!!! tanjung hero!!

later on we were told tat the fish cant be eaten....so..too bad we didn get to savour the catch...but wat a happy day it has been....

and thank God for good weather, great company, my wonderful aunty and a trip i wont forget..

This Raya....

its been 3 years since i last step foot in Muar... everytime i talk like i know Muar a lot...but actually... i hardly know the roads there...so..this Raya...Im back!!! with Tek Jee and Ching Mun to have some fun and eat all we want!!

heres the real Muar otak-otak...compared to the KL wans which always claim to be from Muar..this wan has a lighter tone...not so spicy... and always much more deeelicious.

and thanks to Jen Ern for some directions... and for someone who grows up in Muar...this is only the 2nd time he has sat down and eat in the famous 'sah beh loh'!!!!.. hes the ultimate at-home-guy!!!!
and at nite... dinner @ Long Poh with my aunty...who just cant stop asking whether we are full and just churning out story after story bout me when i was young (she took care of me when i was 3-18 months old)... and probably still thinks im tat age!!!

and this is the scene at home when my aunty starts to tell stories...and she just goes on and on and on..........from 30 years ago till now...

A Tragic Joke

Was so tired this semester until i almost forgot i have a blog. i think its time for some updates.

1st of all..Happy Birthday to Dr James Koh.. who has always been an inspiration to us.. to never judge a person by their CD4 counts, and as a great lecturer oozing with knowledge, and a superb blog writer, who brings us great cheer/utter sorrow after the exams.

heres the planner, our internal med leader, Dato Kee Huat. thanks a lot for getting the cake. those who know him will totally understand y i have extra stress when im about to be examined after him on wed. Hopefully i dun make a fool out of myself during the exam.

and after weeks of calling the plumber/ landlord to fix a simple problem and constantly being ignored probably because they are too hypo to pick up the call, we decided to take matters into our own hands.
looks like no big deal rite??? but actually....its a total occupational hazard!! but thanks to our creative heroics...everything is fine now.

And now... for the big story about the tragic joke. few days ago, i saw a rat.. again!! and was determined to catch it and give it a craniotomy, but failed. so.. we set out to get a trap for it. after exploring some options, we came across the wan they used in cartoons..a spring trap!!

being 'smart' medical students, my housemate and i cant seem to figure out how the stuff works. tek jee was holding on the spring, and i was holding on to the other side... it seems like the food somehow wont cause the spring to be released... and all of a sudden....

CLIP!!!!

i tot my DIP is gone...blood was coming out from under my fingermail and dripping down to the floor... but a quick look says tat i didn get an amputation. but cool and calmly, i asked sab for a tissue to wrap around it and try to stop the bleeding.. and even waited for tek jee to pay for the glue type trap!!
but in the end..no harm was done.. and i dun think i need ATT either. onli unable to play violin for a few days....but still can percuss la..thank God for tat...

and now... if we get the mouse...ill ensure a slllloooooww and painful death..

Happy 51st Birthday Malaysia...

i hope the sentence above spells out my patriotism and whoever ISA looking at my blog stops reading at just tat line..

we need a change, hopefully new and better leaders who dun require mansions to work in, passing driving tests without the obligatory 'fees', reduced oil prices...(pls la...15 cents??tats the best they can do??), better public transports..(at least Pak lah himself thinks so), better education systems based on merit (Tun thinks so too..)

and pls...can we have a new national anthem???

its so... bland..and the words are so.. unlifting... and before i kena ISA again...let me explain and give a few examples.

after years of watching F1, i can memorise the tune of Italian, French and German anthems. not bcos im good in music...cos their tune sounds nicer!!... it has climaxes tat can be enhanced with choirs, fireworks, flares....and make the whole thing sound spectacular..it can be presented like a show!! now imagine a firework pops during Negaraku...we'll all look at it and stare...and absolutely forget the song..

heres an example of the Italian wan... watch out for the chorus

and heres the all famous american wan.. go youtube and ull find literally hundreds of different versions of it!! and osso...watch the flares..

heck...the Russian wan even sounds grand with a bunch of untrained soldiers singing acapella!!!no wonder everywans saluting!! but this wan...is seriously lengthy...

so it tat too much to ask for??? ill write it for free?? can???

and in the meantime..i need to find ways to use up my final holidays!!

and to start off...thanks to Jee who needed to rush to LCCT.( in case ur reading this...ur car is fine!!!) cos after that....Ching Mun broke ur record....for the looongest time needed to go back from LCCT to seremban...

holidays is when u do silly stuff.. like walking on the Sepang Gold Coast beach with formal attire.. i even had my cufflinks on!!
theres really nth much there..but its a good thing....less pollution, still can pick up shells...really takes exam stresses away...and theres no dinner like seafood@seaside@sunset....at the same time hearing the oil prices got lowered...just a little more reason to party harder this week...

I still rember the 2nd day after entering IMU.... we were asked to do an English test!!! by tat time...i really forgot how to write essays...and handed in some random crap. fortunately i passed. the same thing happened again in sem 4.

Now... the lecturers are complaining tat our English sucks...cannot understand...etc etc..

a quick look at the notice board and ull notice tat IMU staff seriously needs an English class... this notice is particularly annoying cos it is displaying to other doctors to see..and its from the IMU MANAGEMENT. wat an impression!!

how many mistakes could u spot?? the last i counted was 4!!

Imagine this....ur in a rush...and u find a VAN BLOCKING UR DOOR!!! to me... i will only allow tat to happen if its an ambulance picking up a person with gcs 3....but having someone who u totally dunno do this... really raises my BP sky high...

a quick check on the address printed on the van shows the owner lived like 5 houses away, on the opposite lane!! why choose my house?? did we look too innocent?? and isnt 2 cars parking inside our house a clear indication tat the house is NOT VACANT??

just look at the house....y cant he park it inside?? using the parking space to dry his noodles???and after 10 mins of knocking, calling and shouting, no one answered!!! i even went to the backdoor!! if its our exams...ill definately smash the van window and pull down the handbrake to push it away...in this case...the window was open, so we can open the door and push.

and believe me...this whole thing is written by tek jee!! even the all time gentleman cannot tahan this kinda crap....

if u were in my shoes...wat will you do??

We found out the secret lab where mutants DNA is made... right in the 2nd floor of the specialist clinic... where ppl can get their skin color changed by injection, laser and just by standing and doing nth...stading inside...a bunch of UV rays changes the person....slowly....slowly......

Jokes aside...i still cant get my head around the dermatology diseases....theyre grouped together, hard to differentiate... always hard to pronounce, have 10 differentials for a disease, yet heals miraculously just with some steroids...Hooray!!

Accidents and not-so-Emergency department...

After 2 weeks in the AnE... i concluded that apart from the night duties tat doctors had to go through...its actually quite relaxing!! where else u see ppl doing this....and this....in times where theres no patients... they even switch off the lights.. and it looks like the department is actually closed!! remember the rushing scenes from House, ER and all the medical dramas?? well...the dramatic part can be true...but not the rushing part la...when i was asked to get the portable X ray for a patient in red zone... the technician said..bagi tau doktor..mau tunggu sikit..1 jam la.... red zone?? satu jam?? yalah...sibuk ma....so much for the red zone excitement..

as for the dramas....well..u get pt coming after snake bites..but a labi labi that took out half a finger? tats some kinda bite... and how bout an accident involving babi hutan..on the highway?? and foot getting crushed by the elevator?? or even a 5 year old kid weighing 5 kg coming in brain dead??

apart from tat, it always amazes me when i see the ways ppl use when they try to kill themselves.. sometimes..it just dun work.. taking panadols/ clorox/ u name it...mostly doing it for love!! if u really wanna do it....try taking a knife..palpate ur carotid pulse and stab right in.. guaranteed u wont need to be brought in the AnE at all!

moral of the story...theres no problem worse than death... and if God already conquered death..there is no more problem tat cant be settled... so never take the easy way out... unless ur really sure where ur heading too....

Ahphthalmalagy posting is new and fun... not wonly its a tatahly new subject, it also helps u understand ather diseases better...as the saying goes...the aiye is the window to the body...yend yif you aiyes are good, your whole body will be full of light...

amang the new things we've learnt... it is not ur fault if ur short sighted... u know...some af us always get blamed for looking at computer too much, reading too near, in fact...theres nth much we can do about it...if u got it..then too bad la...and now...try playing more computer and see whether it becomes better??

Hol happenings

Hols has been nice to my physical health so far...eating home cooked food, getting enaf rest, sleeping like crazy... but im not sure i can say the same for the mental side... sometimes being alone drives me nuts... thanks for all my movie buddies...

was hibernating at home today when suddenly the fan stopped spinning...looking out the window.. didn took me long to realise theres a power cut..and some tenaga ppl fixing the cables nearby... and i tot i just get out for some groceries shopping in Sri Petaling....

turned out to be a not so quiet afternoon...in fact..there a long queue in all the counters...especially the 'express' lanes... yaiks... and smart me was lugging a shopping basket instead of the trolley..:( there as mom and a seeeriously annoying kid behind me who cant stop whining bout the queue...that drove me insane....really...when its my turn..the mom put her stuff in front of mine and asked if she could pay 1st!! and the cashier looked at me for my reply....
i gave my evil thought stare (ask Harveen to explain this) and shoved her things a side and said 'in ur dreams b**ch'... turned to the kid told the spoiled brat to shuddup and told them mom off how bad an example shes giving her oledi screwed up brat... and put my stuff on the cashier table to pay... and giving them both the look again before i walk off...

that was how i tot will happen...or ShoulD have happened...

but instead....i told the mom..ok..go 1st..its just 2 items..and gave a funny face to the kid and made the kid quiet down!!! AM I CRAZY??!! and even now i dunno y i did tat...

but on the other hand...who knows wat would have happened if it had happen the other way...the mom might use an umbrella can stab me and we'll all end up in the police station? hard to put a price on peace rite??

Post exams...im not quite in the hols happy mood after Prof K gave us all the doomsday message....2 lecturers confirmed that the counselling session was postgrad standard...and the number of times prof K repeated the word DIE.... pretty much confirmed the results..

but on the happier note...im HIV negative!! All the sem 6 days of touching patients without gloves and later finding out that theyre HIV postive seems to have paid out...i mean..where is the show of compassion if u check out ppl's profile and march to their bed with double gloving, mask which make u look like iron man and a talk to them 3 feet away?? i like to get personal...HAHAHA

the SD Bioline rapid test has NO false negatives... and its kinda way past any kinda window period...So... anyone interested in some high risk behaviour??? (By High Risk...im not thinking wat ur thinking!!!!)

In the ideal world of family medicine..patients who come with fever and sore throat goes back with nth but panadols and gargles...after waiting 1 hour outside, u spend 30 mins counseling the patient and their family members (khutbah as the patient calls it..) about how they need to loose some weight, eat rite, cook rite, workout like athletes...and give them some brochures to read at home... come back and do some blood test...and they go back

in the REAL world...patient who comes in with the slightest pain gets pumped with steroids and antibiotics, surgeries are done with bare hands and fingers... sharps are thrown into wastepaper baskets patients who comes with RBS of 18.8 gets a good laugh b4 going home... and patients come back again and again...Happily putting money into the doctor's pockets...btw... were talking bout thousands a day!!!!

and not onli that... u can request for things that ull get scolded in the ideal world. MC, medicines, come in for a chat, ask for some viagras....and ....u can ask for this...

...yeap.. u can insert a glass/plastic bead/star/watever into your ***** for ultimate satisfaction!! its so effective...the patient actually comes back for another one!!!!the surgery is called pearling, aka genital implants..( 5 mintues ago i put a pic of it...but its seriously too ugly for my blog..deleted it la..click here if u really wanna know wat im talking about)

IMU music night....from start to end...

The Prelude...

it all started with a simple msn from ching mun to me and jee..asking to join the music nite..jee wasted no time in agreeing...and i followed suit soon...and the plan A...

The practice
it only started a week before...all the brainstorming for ideas..recruiting my housemates...waking up the neighbors..getting no sleep..the clock u see here shows only Halfway thru the practice...trust me...

as u can see..the whole practice involves all the high tech gadgets...4 nites of intensive practising, with jee even pulling out at one point...and chern wuay replacing him..and later on getting him back...its really a whole roller coaster of emotions....but in the end..we had Ching Mun, Jee, me, Sab, Michelle, Chern Wuay and Jia Ki...and i gotta admit...the practice was fun..i never enjoyed staying up like that b4..

before the nite...i had tachycardia all day...worrying the hundreds of possibilities that might happen..and yet trying to comfort myself that this is just for fun...finally..jee gave the last motivation to us...

WE can be STUPID..but CANNOT be COWARD!!!!

*applauds to jee!!!* i felt much better after that.

The performance..

the 1st wan was jia ki and ching mun...awesome voice she had...but the mic was breaking up constantly...spoiled many performances bcos of that..

next up...Melody by me, Ching Mun, Sab and Jee...really thanks to all the sem 8 for all your support... hope all of u were happy with it... as u all know...its hard doing unpractised things spontaneously on stage

After coming back from the long weekend...the 1st glaring thing i noticed bout my house is this...
A grave? NO...its Jee's new project of planting sunflowers near the doorstep!And...the seeds he planted Actually grew!! He even NAMED all the plants.. the only thing lacking is that he dun talk to them ...YET...either that guy is too free... became delusional..or he has someone to impress...who knows??

Wierdly, i attended a talk this afternoon on financial planning..teaching long term investments, insurances..bla bla...the point is...start saving and investing today..says the speaker...well, i cant buy property or share..y not doing something about my vacant land? prices of food is going up...a lil harvest from ur own yard certainly wont harm..and theres plenty of space to 'invest' in stuff.
After getting some idea from Jee's grave...1st off..we need some bricks...to cut cost..of cost..u dun go buy bricks...u 'take' them when u see one!! after a small tour around the housing area/jusco...surprisingly..we collected more than enaf bricks..JUST LIKE THAT..

And Behold.. in a couple of weeks we'll cook organic kailan!! muahahaha....

things are just starting to settle down n psychiatry...i was grilled, stripped and hammered by Prof H so badly in orthopedics that i really felt useless.... and best of all...he reminds me of that everytime!!....anyway... psy is slightly better..freer...and i can slowly gain back the confidence that i totally lost in ortho....!!

it was about this time last year that i got the dilemma of whether or not to perform on music nite.. this year...didn get to try b4..so i guess its worthwhile having a go at it..its the last year oledi...
my housemate is certainly up for some action..and one of them is already booked for a band gig!

so..to sing? to play? or is it better to end up in total embarrassment??

i went to HTJ...smiling at doctors...and they gimme the look like i just insulted the size of their manhood...i approach a patient...trying to get a history...she gimme the looks again telling me 4 fellas clerked and twisted her osteoarthritic knees yesterday...then ask me to go away..
gone are the Miri smiles...where patients just tell u everything...ask u questions..and doctors and nurses just make ur day so bright....

and so...ill just post up the pics and look back at the good days of selectives..

1. Only me can iron my shirts..no one touches them...i got OCD about maintaining a single line on the sleeves...and the same goes for my slacks...they say i cant maintain this kinda life when im a HO...by then...the only thing u care is whether u got clothes to wear..hmm...we'll see...yeah...im kinda vain

2. India elective is proof that i dare to try/eat anything new...and dun mind getting into hospital for it..

3. i never got into the craze of playing Dota, PS, and im one of the rare ppl who prefers Formula 1 racing over football

4. my mom always tell me not to go out with so many gals....i never understood that. i mean....since when was i so lucky?

5. i can cook well..ahem..and i eat like mad.(tek jee can be a witness for that)...but the last time i measured my waist in India..the tape stopped at 25 inch.

actually..credit must be given to Shang for this.... i seriously cant imagine the indians injecting grapes with a 25G needle...certainly not worth the effort for 20 rupees a kilo....and again..we ate so much fruits there..banana, papaya, watermelon, grapes..and not forgetting...mosambee..a cross between orange and pomelo..taste good!!!

3. Trains are packed so bad that ppl cling on the door and climb on the roof!!

5. Never give money to beggars..the whole kampung will come and swarm after u...

some places dun even speak Hindi!! they have like 400 languages...all with different writing!! even in Delhi markets.. English will bring you no where... know the Hindi numbers at least...and ull be fine..

7. Public toilets are incredibly dirty there..
TRUE!!!what public toilet?? just squat ANYWHERE you like and piss/shit! and IF they DO have public toilets outside a private building...its really...PUBLIC!!!

8. Dun get bitten by mosquito or any insect!! youll get malaria!!
FALSE...where got? and its unavoidable..too many mozzies everywhere

9. India is a great place to study medicine..
TRUE!!!
its not just about the cadavers..the whole learning system, the lecturers, the hospital...all combined to give a complete medical training...

but for now..let me share a big irony with you all... imagine us eating everything were not supposed to eat there in india..and getting absolutely no AGE watsoever...and ended up getting food poisoning after eating airplane food!!! thats wat happened to me and jee...and the thing is...Jee got better after 4 days...and i didnt!

u see...after some analyzing.. i realised that bloody Hindustan Airport in Bangalore is shutting down in a months time..its super busy, its crowded, its short handed bcos most of the staff went to the new airport.. its kinda dirty too..and airplane food is frozen upon preparation and heated up in the plane...and power shortages are frequent in India...all these translates to....bad food!!

after a meal of mutton curry rice in the plane..which i didn even finish, i had a bout of diarrhea in Colombo, then KLIA, then non stop at home for 4 days! everything i take comes out within 10 mins..even ORS comes out the same way.. diarrhea of 10 times a day, dehydrated, anorexic and lethargic...i ended up like this..

as u can see...i wasnt admitted...its just the acute care ward in UH...where i was given 2 pints of saline iv cos i was dehydrated and my BP was slightly low...given the history of travel.. the doctor (DR Aung Myo Maung..student of Dr Hla...) didn wanna take any chance..and thus..i started my long and boring wait for the drip to finish and for the blood results to come back. i even had a bout of diarrhea curing the drip. shitting with a drip in ur veins surely takes some skills! and i can say half the drip was gone to the toilet that day itself...the results did show some elevated liver enzymes..but according to the doctor nth to be too alarmed about....i sure hope its true too..

im stil having diarrhea now.. but appetite has slowly regained.. i think....

continue to pray for me... i need to be well enaf by sat...

I tot its gonna be another boring day again..me and myself watching the Oscars..until Jee called and suggested something totally new to me.... apparently, the sem 9 folks decided to celebrate them passing the exams by shooting each other...literally!! and thus.. PAIN(T) BALL!!!!!

these AINT TOYS!!! theres a high pressure canister below, its damn heavy, and it fire shots at 250 feet per second!! and the bullets are engineered to explode when it hit u!! And to run, crawl and hide in this maze of obstacles isnt easy either!! leaves u breathless after just 10 mins...so now its painful + tiring... so just imagine hiding behind one of those..and ur enemy spotted you..and theres bullets flying left and right of u..and the sheild keep getting shot at..your adrenaline rushes to the max..but ur not sure whether to run or continue hiding till judgement day comes...and you decide to do a mad dash out....and the cycle continues...the prey and the predator.....and vice versa..haha

now...getting shot inthe face in actually a good thing!! u got a bullet proof protection always...but getting shot in other places defines the name of the game....PAIN!!! mind numbing PAIN!!... the picture says it all....

After exams.. one would always think of where to go...not really for celebration....just to destress and do some stuff that u normally cant do during uni days.. i really dunno where the idea started...but the idea certainly wasnt bad at all...go to a Hot Spring in Pedas.. its the first for Jee.. and i didn dip in one since i entered uni!Pedas (spicy in Malay) is of cos a kampung area... and driving there is like driving aimlessly to nowhere...theres barisan and PAS flags...symbolically leading u to nowhere... PAS has much less flags..so they put theirs higher than BN..Smart!!
stopped by a lake...and suddenly wanted to relive some childhood pasttimes...like see saw and swing.. i know...sound wrong and theres kids staring...but its fun to almost swing 180..

the new barisan logo....on the right is the politicians...and on the left is the rakyat..finally...were at the hot spring...and the 1st thing we know is that it has mercury (cause of minamata syndrome which makes paralysed with ataxia and aphasia)..lead (cause loss of sensation) and lots of other heavy metals which causes cancer!! to the layman..they must be thinking its all useful minerals thatll make their skin smooth and fair....the hot springs is....HOT!! a little dip inside feel like ur skin is gonna come off.. and well...looking at my blog title... i guess u know how it feels like for guys to dip above the waist...its scalding!!! as to whether my jewels are cooked...i got no eye deer..Sab is the only one not to get wet... and just had a feet spa.. well.. it dun take much to know y she didn take a dip.. when u get out of the water.. i really feel weak...like the water drained ur energy... and in fact..the cold shower made me feel better..

Now..if thats not crazy enaf...we actaully went all the way to Serdang for dinner!! Hoi Tong buffet steamboat is simply the best..with scallops, crabs, prawns , grilled or cooked in soup or tom yam... we just stuffed ourselves until we cant move anymore...i seriously missed pool!! i havent totally lost my skills yet.. but its bad compared to wat i can do before.. we played till theres no one left in the pool area...then left for seremban at 130 am!!thats life!!!

finally...its over..!! all the stress, shouting at housemates, pulling hair, endless practices..finally...my sem 7 finals is over...

ill just write a little summary of wat happened over the months..
Phase 1..after the obstetrics posting...i knew we gotta practice and read up for exams...but hello..obs is the busiest posting...and we even have weekend calls...no time le..and after that...i tot i wanna relax a while..and hence the first dip..

Phase 2..the build up to short answer question...
practice CSU b4 the CSU rooms are closed!! see patients b4 we are barred!!read read read!! theres tonnes of things i realised i dunno...and all the revision sessions seems like learing a whole new thing!!AARGGH!! i feel really dumb...y didn i study all these b4??no futsal, no fancy meals, no going back for weekends, and dun even dream of movies...Study!!!

Phase 3: OSPE
well..oledi into the exams..the stress levels is reduced a bit..however..ospe is seriously difficult!! if the 1st wan wrong...the station and flush down the toilet oledi...and thats wat happened to a few of mine i guess....

Phase 4: OSCE
this wan even worse...5 minutes to examine patient and make a diagnosis plus answer question...no point thinking if u dunno...just answer as much as u can...ur gonna have a mental block if u think too long..as Fengy put it..wat can u do in 5 minutes?? Dr House spend days thinking to arrive at a diagnosis...u cant eat a burger in 5 minutes...and a 5 minutes nap is no nap..

Phase 5: long OSCE
this wan slightly better...10 minutes..but many more things to do!! but at this point..all im thinking is getting over with it...i cant study, cant read, cant think...just wanna get it over with!!! and of cos..i screwed a few stations...

AND next target...INDIA!!!!

Last year @ CNY... I wanted so much to go watch movie, at least go out with my bunch of cousins..but things just didn work out... all we did was tease Eugene (the only chubby member of the Ong family..) and pinch his flabs until he gets nightmares....

So this year...i made sure we got a blast of a time together... we all went to GreenBox in jusco cheras selatan..and i realised my cousins aint bad at singing at all!!!
and Eugene is still...FAT... and this year... we made sure we taunt him in everything he does..but this year...he learned to take it all in!!! and this is wat he drew himself!!poor fella..
of cos...no matter wat we say...theres nth stopping us from digging in all the wonderful new year food!! really ate and drank until we cant move...last year...we had a few pop pops, a few spinners, a few rockets, had a mini competition with the neighbors...but this year....we made sure...that no one even comes close!!!12 happy booms firing 20 shots each, 100 thunder rocket, 12 single fireworks that blast until the echo can be heard for 3 seconds, countless spinner, pops....and the mother of all....
this whole thing is 1(ONE) big fuse...and i got the honor of lighting it up!! and that was the most awesome fireworks show ive ever seen in such a close range!!and thats how we welcome the new year !!! hope everyone is having tons of fun too!!!

i know..i havent blogged from last year to this year... and its really too late now to say Happy New year... so ppl...welcome to my 1st blog of 08!! and btw..i need to change the name of my blog title badly!! any suggestions?

seems like just a while ago that i blogged bout the angel u dunno and the devil u know... and it happened to me again!! exams got pushed forward...only to get an external examiner..but it wasnt too bad la..we'll see when results are out..ill certainly miss some of the labour room stresses...the screaming, panicking, scolding, the rush, the blood, the smell, the pain......and the joy that follows all of that.

well..its just 2 weeks more to the BIG finals b4 i dream about going overseas... and ill use up all my energy to read up and practice the CSU... and ill blog bout it after its over..stay tuned ok...

Is it the end of 2007 already? Time...u gotta slow down!!

of cos...time wont... i didn even have time to blog bout christmas...but its basically nice and simple.. no pics taken when im playing violin though.. guess no one is interested..or no wan saw me hiding in the corner! but im still thankful for everything i had that day...

i think part of me wants to graduate fast and be called Dr... but then looking at the way new housemans are treated, u kinda wanna think twice..and really make sure ur good b4 graduating. housemans job is NO different from a kuli aka slave... u pick up rubbish, get scolded 24/7, get blamed even though its not ur fault, get paid sandwich, not to mention no sleep and frequently...no eating too!!

this year... i experiened
1. staying out for the first time..
2. broke my record for the longest no sleep duration
3. went to Miri/Segamat for the first time.
4. went to Singapore
5. acted on stage in uni
6. went carolling in PD
7. got saved from the brink of death in Karak highway..im not joking
8. eating buffet in jogoya
9. performed 2 hemorrhoid banding
10. cooked all my favorite recipes...and even invited lecturer to sample my dishes... thinking of being a chef instead..haha..too late

looking back, i dun think i have much regrets this year... only thanksgiving for all the experiences i went thru.. and of cos.. i shall look forward to working and playing harder next year!!!

the sound of carols....

After the impromptu carolling in Seremban..its time to do carols in my own church...now..nth it random here...these kids trained and practiced for a month!! and im just joining in for fun..and also to be their ah mat for the journey....

and this year...theres a whole new experience compared to the past...

we left home with rain like this!! can u imagine?? its pouring and 1 second in the rain can get u soaked....we supposed to leave church at 630, but we prayed for the rain to stop so we could get started..and guess wat..God answered our prayers... just as it seemed that the rain would be going on the whole night...it stopped at 7..and it didn even drizzle after that....

now...we were asked to sing in a 'shop'...kinda scary at 1st..thinking tat we'll surely attract a whole crowd...but then..when we arrived...it wasn't just a 'shop'...its a Auntie Karaoke Lounge!! wuah....and the 'crowd' packed the door....and we sang the carols on stage...how unusual!! and the owner insisted that one of us sing a k osso...and since the songs are all sung b4 we were born..our uncle hong did the honors...
now...we would pray for each home that we visit...and when it came to my turn... its always a house packed with 100 ppl.. and its so noisy i need to strain my voice...but its all good in the end..now..imagine ur a kid at nite..and suddenly here comes 2 angels with glowing gown giving u christmas candies!!! its fun of cos...but then they could be so easily mistaken for somwthing else!!hahaand these 2 angels are really hard to catch hold to take pics...when they see camera..they fly away.....but i managed to get a shot when their too tired....

we'll surely be back again next year!!!

Time to Spread the Joy

Its Christmas time...and the Paeds exam is over!! well..time to spread some joy of Christmas..but 1st.. im just glad that the posting is over... the kids were wonderful, even when theyre sick, they dun scold u, they dun curse u, and they let u examine them without complaining. when theyre well...they give u a smile which just makes u forget all ur worries... ill definately miss some of the kids there..and since its christmas time.. i got invited to a kids' home...to sing carols to the family.. well...Me? asked to sing?? now that is as rare as seeing a green moon... but anyway.. i tot..theres Jo.. whose voice is good enaf to cover for any out-of-tunes i make... and i could always... u know..do wat the celebrities do on stage?
turns out..we were squeezed into a house full of kids... and i was absolutely lost on wat to do... after singing some songs...Dr Lee shared the christmas story to the kids...in malay!!.. and theres Minoo to translate all the difficult terms...it cant be more attractive..the kids eyes are fixed to Dr Lee!!!

and we even get some treats from the aunties there...the mee was great..although super spicy..

and we all left knowing that we did something good that day..
and at night..we were all still singing at home..and we just had to do something wierd.. and we chose to go to the beach!! well...its wasnt an outing after all.. i just walked 2 steps and thats it!! and had some supper in PD...which i mistaken it for Lukut!! but then..the more exciting part is that i get to see hows life like in the kampung areas during midnight.....

just look at this..all u get is Petrol...dun even know what company ...maybe smuggled..

shortly after Diwali...its Christmas time!! and we had a simple... but really nice and meaningful Christmas musical here in Seremban...the attendance by the hospital doctors are just amazing! Heres Mr D giving a talk on hope...what an irony cos u know if u get him for exam...its hopeless! but his message is clear, that we could only have hope in God..and everything else is just temporary...
and the carol is awesome!! u really sang till they sweat...but we all enjoyed every bit of their singing..and the skit again reminded us that nothing in earth can come between us and God.. so this Christmas... remember the true meaning of it..that it is because this day..that we all have hope in our lives....

what do u call a place where u dun get sleep for more than 24 hours, no bath, no brush, dinner at 2 am, and non stop physical and mental drilling?? yes..its a slice of helloh ya..and u get bitten by 50 mozzies in the jungle too!!and then they put u in 'chalets' with no bed, no pillow, no matress, no blanket..and let u share toilets like these....its a lice of prison too...

last week, some of us joined a first aid camp organised by some of the surgeons, who all wanted to give us a taste of their lives... or so they claim. it started by asking us to carry 20 kg hoses 100 feet to put out fire... then some basic training on first aid and CPR, then some motivational talk, then a scout style knotting session...then bbq ur own dinner at 130 am....after finishing watever thats left, u head of to 'bed', onli to be woken up for a 'rescue' mission, and that includes carrying a 50 kg person more than 1 km, and leaving u with no more strength, u see the sunrise, then u cut urself while carrying a stretcher while crawling... and they call that essential training...

by the time i sleep..its oledi 32 hours since i last rested..and know..i can comfortably brag that i CAN survive without sleep...!!

this years Diwali night is really different... because for the first time...im not just the spectator...and my whoue house is in it!! After a week of patient practicing for my 15 seconds role...the day has finally come..the wonderful kolam made by the chapati corner auntie

Everybody who has a indian costume are all dressed up in their finest.. and even lecturers from BJ came to give us support... Dr JPJ sang his favorite tamil song with a sem 1 student, theres the opening light dance, baranatyam and modern dances... and finally..drama..
Don had heart attack, Don wanna find new heir, the audition went bad (i was the wan), tontos go search for heir, heir found, diamond stolen, Madam Lola killed, don arrested, tonto jailed, heir takes over...confusing? its not if ur there..and there u go...my 15 seconds of fame.

and there the fashion show from all corners of india...this wan i really think its better than the BJ wans.. especially the bridal wan with Jacklyn in it... never seen her without specs b4..Joo ee also did great as the basket girl...
the most important person is often the unseen...and heres the prop specialist that deserve all the praise for their efficiency in moving the props up and down the stage.

a Tail of Three little rats..

once upon a time, there were 2 housemates having dinner peacefully..when suddenly.. one spotted a little furry creppy fella running from the kitchen to the store room... immediately..they set out to destroy the carrier of Yersinia Pestis...

they surrounded the door and cleared the store...to only find that there are 2 more frens of the furry fella! theyre just babies..and the housemates tot it should be easy to exterminate..never did they know that the creatures are slick..

the first of the 3 frens were easily captured by a quick swat with the pail... just as the housemates were gleeming from the success, Jo came in... then..without warning.. another fren ran after her!! she frantically shouted..and was in trauma for the next 10 minutes...

the third of the frens was also swatted with a pail... and killed instantly on the impact.. then, a surprise..the first pail acutally captured not one but 2!! and now..the housemates need to kill them for good...

they boiled water...and watch the fellas breathed their last...

midnight, the gravedigger dug a grave..and unceremoniously buried the critters outside.

talking bout the carrier of Yersinia Pestis, they disinfected and sterilised the whole kitchen, rearranged the food..and realised that how negligent they have been all this while...a good lesson learned..

i could boast proudly that i have the Most Homely house in Seremban..where else would you have a christmas tree...with lights! and we we dun just have one...we have 2!! along with gifts that i cant wait to open!!....

its been real long since we cooked and invite guest to come... and on sunday...we tot..y not? its just after thanksgiving...and near chistmas time! we just have to have another wan... make it a big wan!

i specifically told Jo and Tek Jee to get the stuff and get ready by 530... so we could burn watever that needs to burn...when i came back at 530, they just arrived....and there goes our frantic chopping, slicing, washing and scolding all the way at the same time...talk about multitasking!!

the main dish is none other than..a roasted stuffed chicken!!just check out the perfectly roasted ayam stuffed with potatoes, ham, bacon....well..and 10 other stuff which im lazy to list out....and probably i wanna keep it a secret..!! its gold!!
and not forgetting the spagetti which tek jee prepared for 12 persons..alcoholic fruit punch by Jo, who also made salad and mushroom sauce and all the effort by everyone...its truly a meal fit to serve Datos....

and u know its good just by looking at chien yung lick the bones clean with a mouth stuffed!! and we also lucky to have Ching Mun, Christina and Chee Wing over!! such a heavenly dinner...surely we will have more fun times again!!

Women drivers....they rock

lots of things have been said bout women drivers....they cant park, they cant judge distance, they cant turn without crossing lines..they cant drive manual... but this week has given me a whole new look to women drivers!! they rock..

heres a pic of Sakthi driving a Gen 2 1.6 campro engine... now, a lot of things has been said about campros too!! but too drive 170 km/h at 4800 rpm... Respect!! and she topped at an orgasmic 190 km/h!! at that speed, cars will pass by u b4 u can say 'look!!' and my goodness..was that thrilling! i can see Ah Huat trying to control his emotions.. and telling sakthi to slow down..She corners at 140kmh also..!

and this is the scenery at 170/kmh!!

the next day, Ching Mun....who most ppl cant believe she drives fast... topped at 150 km/h..second onli to Sakhti.. in a Nissan Sunny 1.5!!manual!! next came me with 145km/h (its not me..my car will topple if i drove faster..i can onli manage that at straights)...and last..Ah Huat with a speed too low to even mention....in a car that can probably to 150 also..

i so wanted to drive Sakhti's car back to Seremban..but thinking..wat if i dun make 190? wont tht make me the laughing stock of the century? better not...

and all the talks bout danger to life...cmon guys.. u can get rammed at 30kmh by a lorry and still die... wats the point of driving if u go slow...might as well take bicycle...Cheers to Sakhti and Ching Mun... i want a ride from u guys again!!

After a really interesting Orthopaedics posting.. its off to paediatrics!! well... i must say although exam results is hard to say...but i really liked it..everything is straight forward..i didn quite like internal medicine...so...i kinda dread paeds now...not bcos of the kids...theyre the cutest...but then...things are so...well....blur...hopefully thing clear up soon.

being low profile all these while... i guess its surprising that i got a role in the upcoming diwali sketch..which is normally quite high profile in IMU BJ..and heres some preview of it..with Nadia as the director....CUT!!

being in hospital...death is not quite a stranger... but when i woke up yesterday...all i hear is cries from the neighbor..and a hearst in front of my house!! we have a neighbor with a brain tumor...who is younger than me..and is quite close to us...so..my 1st tot was....oh God...no..not him!! but then..i went out and saw him among the crowd...and a body was carried out! all these while..i never know that theres a bedridden old lady in my neighbors house!! i feel terrible bout that... its pure ignorance..my condolences...

Thursday is thanksgiving day...although no Turkey to eat in Sban..we still manage to have a little thanksgiving dinner. but most importantly.. We all need to be grateful to God for his blessings all the year..and thats wat we did!!

there are 2 kinds of examiners..
1. the demon u know... most likely, IMU lecturer. they would prompt if u failed to answer, scold u if u still answer silly stuff, shake and knock ur head, and then..they pass u... knowing what exactly u now and u dunno..
2. the angel u dunno... most likely, some external lectuere or hospital doctors. they expect u to know things from masters exam, smile and cheer u up when ur nervous, say 'good good' even when u do the wrong thing, then fail u...

i, of cos, got the second type, in this case, the head of orthopaedics of HTJ. in a ward PACKED with patients with all kinds of bone fractures and problems, he gave me a kid to clerk and present. all he did was smile.. and i seriously needed some help for my diagnosis, he literally blurted out the diagnosis for me.. so...how did i do? i got absolutely NO idea at all.....its all in God's hands now..

im sure most of u guys will have attended open houses for diwali.. and where better to go than ur lectuer's house in majestic country heights... its no secret that Prof Harwant has 4 cars in a mansion and wat not...but we just have to have a look at it..

food was good...not a loong stretch of buffet,,but still good enaf for a decent lunch..but who cares..theres much more things to discover...first, he reads a whole series of 1001 arabian nights, lao tze, and all sorts of classic stuff... he collects swords and muskets...and knows in detail how each and everyone works... he assembles ships, trains and fixes all the electrical components and rails all by himself..he has a flying license, he owns a complete collection of first day covers and stamps since 1957... hows that possible..when a person only has 24 hours a day??!! not mentioning the need to mark reports and exams and work in 3 hospitals and IMU.... how did he do it??oh ya...thats just a fraction of it...see the poster behind? hes a freemason who is heavily involved in the lodge...camwhoring sessions outside the house... u can see our batchmates in the 'Finnish lodge'...
oh..not forgetting...the cars! too bad we cant lay our hands on the steering wheel...here u see a TVR, Jaguar and there another Porsche behind those.. and where is the Ferrari??? he said he sold it... i think he hid it somewhere..
so...many thanks for Prof Harwant for the invitation... its a real inspiration coming to ur place.. and hopefully we get some of those toys of urs one day too!

Sniffing glue...

when we were in psychiatry ward, we heard of stories of patients getting high on glue...specifically, Dunlop contact glue... 'lepas hidu macam boleh terbang.....' 'lain-lain tak boleh..misti mau DUnlop punya' etc etc... of cos..i think its a better vice compared to heroin and the heavy stuff...but doesnt it make u wonder...glue??

so..when jee's shoe soles came off...theres only 1 thing left to do....when we went to a shop nearby, the shopkeeper said..'sudah habis...budak budak sudah beli' so its true!! either the budak budaks all have hundreds of shoes to patch, or..most likely..they actually sniff it!!! even with the flammable and toxic warning...

While our can-o-not is enjoying his RM 100000000 space holiday...let me just voice out some opinion..which is shared by soo many others!!

wat can u do with the money??
1. subsidise toll....which is getting far too ridiculous and is set to be more in the future...thanks to some fella wearing wig posing in his 3om x 40m poster in seremban town.
2. subsidise fuel...if fuel price raise again... everything under the sun will increase price.. and i need to start to learn to survive on grass oledi...
3. build better uni?? IMU badly needs a renovation in seremban
4. give it to me... i promise ill benefit the rakyat!!

instead...the money is fully utilised to do research on how to locate mecca in space, how to pray in low gravity..i mean.. by all chances he'll end up praying towards seremban psychiatry unit....no wonder ppl there all think they are some kinda god...and if he really do that... will we turn all our suraus and mosque into vacuums??

kinda think of it...it sounds absolutely cruel...but... will he crash on the way back??? at least we get to see some good fireworks....

this is how u enter one of the most expensive shopping places in KL..where a 10cm x 15cm lulu guiness bag is worth RM3000!!...the Gardens! u grab an umbrella from a stranger, then run to the building, then pass it to another stranger..then the merry go round continues... this is the only time Malaysians are civic minded..normally they grab the umbrella and run away with it!! it didn help much though...the wind blew the rain all over and u get wet anyway!

translation: 3 months results didn improve...tuition fees refunded!! well... this is a sure bankupt deal... too many loopholes... either the teacher is too confident..or he/she run away with ur money after 3 months!looks like a shady shophouse anyway...

Amarin thai restaurant in midvalley..normally...restaurants would make u happy by putting some prosperous things like fortune cookies that tell all good fortunes and stuff... here...they give u some months..tell to which month represents which snake....and 3 out of 6 snakes are bad..like ur gonna be poor, ur husband is gonna have an affair, etc etc... nice way to woo customers..!! and btw..food sucks... remember..who earn my money and dissapoint me... im gonna let the world know!! AMARIN HEAVENLY THAI SUCKS!!

had a tea session with Joanna in the afternoon...its always nice to see u again...all the crazy chatting and reminising the good old times... too bad no photos this time...and thanks to Sab and Jee for coming..and Woon Lee...its always nice to have u around...

Had dinner at night with my family at Jogoya, Starhill... its onli my 1st time there after hearing bout it for so long.. and i must say..all the hype bout it is all true!! thanks Jo for my 1st bday present.. i camwhored this with ppl all staring wondering wat the heck am i doing...but i must say..the shirt is really nice and the size fits just nice too!! the selection of food here is just AWESOME!! besides the usual japanese stuff...which is oledi a lot.. there is also steamboat, teppan yaki..stuff where u place ur order then they cook for u..all types of desserts in cluding Haagen Daaz ice cream, Malay food , dim sum, to make it simple..the widest variety i had so far....
So lets dig in! !! the paper steamboat king crab legs ranks as my all time favorite..even the borth after that is tasty til the last bit...im always happy when i get to eat crab...haha Now..since my hometown is in Muar..which is famous for otak otak, of cos im curious to know how the fare here...and i found 1 weak point og Jogoya..they cant make otak otak..its just no rite..
thanks to my parents who supported in in everything all these while...thanks a lot.. love u all!!

its that time of the year again...time to get old!! i got frens who are oledi married/working at 22...and im still living day by day.. but no worries..things are gonna get better...just be thankful for every day and enjoy life!!

the 1st bday dinner was a real surprise...i should have known it when sab came back at 7 pm instead of 1145. then she wanna go jusco. then she pulled me off the line.. and voila...my bday dinner is set.
after munching down 3 chickens.. and sorry raj i took urs.... its time to cut cake!! i remember 3 years ago they spelt my name wrong....but this?? is not even a human name! and A student?? its not even me!! haha...well..guess my wishes wont come true....:(

Psycho has been great.. but now..back to normal ppl... where trauma means trauma...and drug means medicine!!yes..Ortho CAN be ugly...just look at these...taken with permission from a middle aged patient... anyone wanna guess the diagnosis??

bones can be broken, twisted, sraped, even Ejected out!! but then..it can be screwed, fixed, transported, and ultimately healed...using tools like these!! i totally understand when Prof H introduced himself as a carpenter...heres some pics from our 1st session of plaster of paris..thanks to Mr Wong. I had total fun sawing, moulding...feels like something i really wanna do..Careful!!!!!

Heres my work of art on ching mun's forearm...perfectly done i must say...haha..and heres some ppl who moulded their hands to some snake, dragon or watever position.. feels horrible wearing the cast for just 20 minutes..and patient's gotta wear that for months! so ppl..drive safe( i know im not qualified to say that...) and dun break ur bones!!

to the coward who left a note on my car last time... let me show you how parking should be done here in IMU... if u cant do that...then i suggest u just park outside la... save the trouble of writing notes now thats wat i call skilled parking. saves space so others could park too!btw...i always complain that we Malaysians dunno how to fight for our benefits..Govn wanna do wat..they just do.. wanna raise price..we cannot do anything osso...corruption year after year..never do anything osso... but hey.. maybe we r improving!! look at the Maybank Seremban employees...letting the world know that theyre unfairly treated...just put down ur work and strike!! y not we all do the same next time they raise the oil price??dun work and dun drive for a day or 2??anything is better than sitting down and grumbling.....

another step closer to becoming a doctor....i wish... but at least...ill be back in the hospital again after this!!! so here some great memories of the psychiatry ward where all the interesting stuff happened for the past 5 weeks...really something different from all the usual medical stuff..really enjoyed it!!Many ppl still call psychiatry wards as 青山院 but just look at the green hills...i cant help but think that its true!! the psy ward started off as Hospital Sakit Otak Seremban!! i wish they kept that name...cos that will certainly improve patient's insight!heres me and Ah Huat outside the specialist's room...

and heres a picture of wat a patient swallowed b4 coming in!!! its a packet of pesticide... see..they might be mentally ill..but they still know where to get stuff they want!!

so...many thanks to all the doctors, lecturers and patients who gave us info on hearing voices, seeing ghost, taking souls and much more!!!...will look forward to comingback again next sem!!

u know u got a really really bad week when things go wrong every 2 days!! 1st... monday..came back from home.. and car became like this...
Wed...played futsal with some ganas seniors...and knees became like this!!! and im still getting sleep difficulties becos of it..and on Friday..after a crazy rain in the morning...came back..and my room became like this!!! only my room..not anyone else...not the kitchen...not the living room...
and me and my housemates gotta do totally crazy things...for example...THIS!!!and this!!!!
and i can only pray that nothing happens tomolo!!! Help God...

Psychiatry ward

what comes into your mind when think of psychiatry ward? crazy ppl? madness? scary ppl? hearing voices, seeing things? scolding ppl without reason??

while they all true to some extent... most of the ppl there are almost normal!!! as ive found out after 2 weeks in Seremban Psychiatric Unit... u need to be quite sane there to answer literally hundreds of questions...have ppl test ur mental state again and again, having to answer dumc questions day after day..and locked...yes.LOCKED like prisoners inside a big cell...were all psy ppl get together..how not to get a bit kookoo??

some interesting things to share..things that i hear in psy ward
1. Saya pinjam duit RM500 dari Puteri XXX, anak kaum kerabat Raja Majapahit.
2. i feel very empty inside..my soul is taken away by a motorcyclist!! he took and ATE my soul...the rest he put in his pocket!.( i start think about the new meaning of Chicken soup for the Soul)
3. Doktor..saya bukan tak siuman punya orang... saya pandai.. saya PRESIDENT CHINA!
4. i see your mother..right there..shes is a Malay rite??( ahem...Wrong..)

according to seniors.. when the moon comes out... they will behave differently and start boxing, stripping, shouting.. what? werewolves? i really gotta on call at night more...!
On a lighter note...we just had a K session with them..actually... i dunno any of those oldie Malay songs.. and even played some games were u blow the flour and get the sweets below it...of cos..they blow until whole face also white.. and chased some nurses with the flour..how fun!!! oh ya..being psy, u no need to puasa..hows that?

escaped from the door of death!!

no..this title was not exaggerated at all!!!! it was exactly wat happened !!i dunno whether anyones gonna believe this...but it is all true...its so dramatic that i cant exaggerate it!!!
straight to the incident..was coming back from Bentong with Jo in Karak Highway on a rainy day... wasnt pouring and visiblilty was still good.. i did some speeding in the tunnel...As u can see...rite after the tunnel was a left turning with a slightly wider road area...the minute i turned left...the car just lost control and skidded!!! it went sideways...but was still moving very fast!!
as it went down..it spun 180 degrees and headed to the mountain... almost about to hit it.and i tried to turn ..and it spun AGAIN!! still losing control..the car went straight for the barrier!!

at that point.. i was thinking im so gonna die...beyond that barrier is a plunge down the mountain and into tomolo's newpaper headline...but..in a miracle...
the car spun AGAIN!!! just as is was about to hit the barrier..i hit the brakes...and AGAIN..it spun 360 degrees to a halt!! in another miracle...there was no cars there!!!we didn hit ANYTHING and there were no injuries..except stuff were thrown around for a while.

if ure thinking that was unbelievable....the story hasnt ended yet!!! i was abviously quite shaken up by the near death experience..so Jo took over the drive...and not even 10 mins after that... the car spun..AGAIN!! this time....jo pulled the handbrakes and spun it 360 degrees into a stop.. but this time..there WERE cars on the road... all braked and looked with wide opened eyes and low dropping jaws..and yet again...didn hit anything, didn hit anycar, no injuries..

if this is not a total MIRACLE...i dunno wat is...1st..we could have hit the mountainside at 80..and suffered damage and maybe some injuries or worse..2nd.. we could have plunged down the cliff to certain death. 3rd..there were no damage or injuries..even when there were cars..4th..there were so many cars parked beside the road.. all by accidents.. it could have so so easily been us!!

and I cant thank God enough for His protection and His Grace...He was the only reason why i am still here...

Food is great in Kiasuland... and its cheap if u dun convert it..of cos...and ive certainly been eating too much there.. for instance..Everything here is my supper after eating prawn noodles at 6pm, then MOS burger at 11pm. the porridge is 60 cents, mixed with some fatty pork and vege gives makes it awesomei wonder y we dun have MOS burger here...theyre just fantastic!chocolate at Max Brenners!! super nice fondue, waffles... another thing that we dun have here! dun tell me we dun like chocolates! and thanks Wei Siong for the treat!!
the hostel we stay has some cooking facilities...so..back to cooking again! but just scrambled eggs and french toast la..

if ur really feeling like a tourist...go sip Singapore Sling at Clarke Quay (pronounced Kl-ark Key) filled with Mat Salleh bars and seafood restaurants serving giant crabs!! dun dare to ask bout the price..but i bet its awesome to get our hands on it one day! scenery is unbeatable there... if onli i ordered some food..hawkers centers are great too...some are non smoking wans like this wan outside Esplanade.. thats something we should have too!!

really cant tell whose country is better in terms of food, but i think for the money's worth, Malaysia still rocks.

the economy aka budget aka cheapo class is really like a refugee camp! stuffed with ppl talking, snoring, eating, playing, sleeping, trying to sleep..and not forgetting ppl who took the liberty to release their flatus to the whole cabin!!! the toilet flushes straight into the track, has a 10 cm diameter sink...and of cos..stank to high heavens..and for 10 hours... we were there trying to fall asleep.. and to be woken up by bloody rude customs officer!!

im still wondering wat just happened...everything seems like a boring and dull day until 5 minutes changed the whole nite..

was actually talking to Wilfred bout how bored i am for the day... decided to cook for family... then halfway thru...got a call from Woon Lee...which says theyre on their way to my house in 2 mins time!! when they got here.. im really kinda stuck.. cant just leave the food and go..so Woon Lee came in and cooked the rest of the crabs and steamed the tofu..wierd thing is..she skipped cooking for her family.. but came over to cook for my family...whom i also didn get to eat with!oh ya..i got clipped by one of the crabs...when i tot the fella was dead!! suddenly came to live and locked his pincers on my finger...wow..most painful grip ever!! skin osso came out..and the fella died after that. maybe he just used his last breath for revenge...haha..too late.

next...on the way to SS2.. called brian out since he stayed near... but he said he cant come out that time.. when were almost there...he suddenly say hes on the way...no need to fetch parents from airport oledi.. wierd osso.. really enjoyed roti hawaii at murni's...a mamak famous for anything but roti canai... gatherings like that are really rare!! really brought me back to the college days...if only Chern Wuay was there also..

after that..went to Yu Lek and eat again.. ABC tong sui with red bean, green bean, dunno wat bean, too much sago, sweet potato... kinda remind me of Jo's bubur chacha...haha

went back home..finally get to eat my cooking...but still the best is Woon Lee's crabs la...wat a wierd day.. but wierd days are never so enjoyable!!

Wat a great day to meet long time no see frens for Karaoke...glad to see Joanna graduated and is back from China for good...Brian tan came all the way from BU, Wilfred came to sing even though hes fasting!! (im serious...he cant even drink water..and hes singing still didn go out!!!..)and Woon Lee...its always fun to have u... but this time..was doubly surprised to see my former skoolmate Kar Sang appearing out of no where... Joanna..u must be the most famous outsider in Sri Sentosa...everyone knows u!!

normally... when Joanna is holding the mic..better not add ur voice in..it just spoils.. and in the mean time..u can enjoy the song.. or just fool around...

Kar Sang is a pro too!! my goodness..always singing one octave higher wan..argh.. i give up osso la... we got K King and K Queen in 1 room!!!...scared to hold mic oledi..

and wilfred...really need to salute him la...he can resist ALL food and drinks in front of him... and even later yumcha osso didn eat! while all of us are happily chewing down curry, mee, fruits, salad.... salutes Wilfred..u proved that 'man does not live by bread alone'!

i really feel i need some real meat and real vege after the kinda pseudo food in the afternoon. went with my family to Tony Roma's in pyramid... many thanks to the chia ling and gang for the voucher!!!see..its not difficult..a good serving of salad and a big chunk of grilled chicken..thats all it takes to make a great deal for a starter!!add some succulent beef, toast some bread, add some fries...and again a satisfying main course
ok...dad wasnt happy at all with his grilled prawns..too rare, too prawny...but thanks a lot for the dinner...

i got a reak shock just 2 weeks ago when i was told that my fren is getting Married!..both husband and wife just 22 years old.. just together for like less than a year.. and now..getting married..so fast!1st thing that came to mind is...is she having G1? (hehe..ask me if u dunno)..but then..lets not speculate le...

so..i bravely went to a wedding lunch with some new experience...1st time i ever go for wedding without having a single clue who is the groom (dunno how he looks like, dunno where he come from...dunno his name osso)..1st time ive ever eaten vegetarian wedding lunch..(actually 1st time eating a full vegetarian course...apparently the groom's parents are vegans.)1st time i go knowing only 2 persons in the whole restaurant besides the bride...1st time ive ever been to a wedding held in shopping complexes..(carrefour sri petaling mahligai vege restaurant)...and something i didn expect at all...i just went to ah beng and ah lian haven!! my goodness..innocent me going with my IMU wear...while even the family just wore casual jeans!!!

now...this vege restaurant serves no vege! if u can see properly...ull find things like crab, shark's fin (they can bravely admit that its fake.) fish, prawns, piglet, chicken....but NO VEGE!

heres an example... fried fish. meat is white, looks like fish, even got crispy skin...but certainly taste like pseudofish(ask me again if u wanna know wats that..)
besides the ah peks having their own karaoke competition on stage, they even got a magic show for extra entertainment.. bravo for creativity, but i cant help but feel that some trick are lame..

the kuali was the onli thing big enaf to serve 1.5 kg of fish and another 1 plus kilo of vege..this time..pai seh ask neighbor for cutlery oledi..
of cos..food taste better when shared!..well..i made this wan up le..but a slight problem happened when we found out Ann was a vegetarian!! well..no prob..we just top up the curry fish head with lots of vege and fry extra...and the result...great as usual..after dinner...Durian party at S2 sponsored by Ah Huat! rumors say its a rare thing that he treats!! haha..then we must be the rare lucky wans la.. and sitting at the roadside polishing the durian seeds is just rite way to eat the stinky fruit!! thanks everyone..wat a full night!

Music nite in Bukit Jalil is called Friday Nite...well..over here...its held on last thursday...and therefore called...Thursday nite...in terms of talents...we certainly dont loose to BJ... all the singing is Fantastic!!!

Nadia with her 2 Mat Rempit guitarist...Ding certainly made everyone laugh until their cheeks become sore... the center of the whole show..stealing 90% of hai liang's lines... Dato there was cetainly impressed!

the incredible Hafiz sang and medley for like...15 mins!!..it just goes on and on...

the robot dance...just in time for transformers...and finally... the hip joint dislocating jawa dance..featuring sab..

and many many more performances... even a free dinner in between!! 1st time experiencing the generosity of IMU!! but it shows that we certainly have more fun and talents than just studying and warding...

cooking..with a special guest..

let me 1st give u all a preview of this cooking session...its diff from the rest..last thursday.. i helped fetch a lecturer back home...and i realised that after 18 months staying here...shes still not familiar with the surroundings!!..staying alone...seldom goes out...i think if it was me..ill go crazy...

normally im not those sorta very kind hearted guy...but this time... i really felt the need to do something... at least have a dinner...and guess wat? i think cooking would be just the thing to do!
so...here we go again.. menu for the dinner..kam heong crabs, steamed fish, vege and my long awaited winter melon soup!this time.. im the assistant..our head chef Woon Lee really worked her skills all the way...thanks a lot!!

now...crabs must be FRESH!!..no less than being ALIVE..and someone has to do the job....so Tek Jee and me did a chest stab, limb amputation, thoracotomy and body slicing of the crabs...all without anaesthetics!! didn take us 5 minutes to finish the job!

the steam fish was prepared at the same time.. no dissecting this time... but splitting open the fish was another new thing i learn osso..and the Woon Lee's special sauce was truly awesome!

Hospital drill

Feng and Raj and many more were rueing that they missed this once in a year thing...but not me!! and im glad i didn.. last friday was the hospital accident and emergency drill...no..this is not some kinda fire drill we had in skool or uni.. this is the real deal!! were talking about screaming patients..ambulance after ambulance rushing in...the hospital must have spent thousands on it... maybe for the ISO thingy...and the whole thing seriously feels like being in a movie!!certainly a day to remember!

the scene: a petrol station exploded..and the hospital need to cope with 50 patients suddenly.. 'bloody'...screaming in pain...they need to segregate the patients into the serious and not so serious wans...the critical area where all the happening things occur

reality...paramedics take their time pushing the patient in....

and the patients...my goodness..i dunno who directed them or did the tomato sauce makeup...but theyre good!!! the scream could catch the attention of everyone!!
bravo to all the hospital staffs...docs, paramedics, nurses.....it shows that everyone is prepared to handle ANYTHING that comes...Good job!!

Watched Transformers on wednesday with Sab and the couple.. well...graphics really nice..lots of action..flames...but anyone noticed the glitch in the story line??

Surgery...

i guess there are many things to enjoy about surgery... lots of bumps and lumps to feel..almost eveyone has a sign of some sort..at least some tenderness....

And... for all heat we endured during internal med.wearing lab coats clmbing 7 floors into a air con less, stuffy ward... now..we get to enjoy 2 hours or more in the freezing operation theatre!!

kehilangan?? surgeons steal stuff??

1st of all..we need to suit up for it.. in a gay room where all male surgeons and med students strip (of cos..still wearing underwear..) and change to the blur OT gown... All the sizes are too big for me... looks like surgeons are all giants.. and the pants..goodness...there all at least..32 inch waist! after wearing anytime can drop wan..damn thin osso...and i now know how it feels like to wear shower caps..basically distorts ur hair!! and the green mask...well...wearing it and breathing for 4 hours definately gives u type 2 respiratory failure....

looks like im getting my hair done..the big light looks like a curler..

theres no photographs allowed in the hospital...and OT is even stricter! so..these pics are really treasures....haha...as u can see..in the OT..its hard to know who is who... all u see are eyes..the rest all the same...unless..u see a person with army style head gear....RUN...thats the head of department...!

While eating lunch 2 days ago...Raj bumped into me and told me...hey..theres a note on ur car..apparently some scratches too!!...didn believe him at all at1st..but thankfully..only the former part was true....the latter wasnt!!

its true that i double parked Hanis and Halim...but thats like so so normal!! given the limited parking space in IMU...everywan is trying to utilize every milimeter of available space for parking! double parking... squeezing in btw cars...parking at corners...parking outside the door...u name it!!

so...which lousy fella...who was ABLE to get in and get out..without touching cars...is FREE and LAME enaf to write me a note like this???

now heres my note to u...whoever is it....next time..put ur name ..or at least ur number there so i can call u and teach u how to park! learn ur England 1st when writing notes..if u are feeling furious..the canteen is just nearby to get some ice.. and if u got too much time...so much so u can write a note under the hot sun and stick it on my car...y not spend it wisely and go learn ur driving...or better still..stick it on ALL the other cars that are double parking..Pls be considerate..u dun own the WHOLE IMU... others need to park too...COWARD!!

My batch of M204 was really a big collection of talents... just name ANY sport or entertainment or any activities..there is bound to be someone who excelled in it... we won 2 consecutive IMU cups.. and the second wan we didn even need to wait for the finals to know we won. theres always the 3 little pigs and gang to cheer us up in singing competition, Kent, Hong Lim and gang to show off their stuff on Friday night...Sab and the machas to dazzle on Diwalis.... and the list goes on and on....

so although im not a very quiet person... I basically excuse myself out of all the stage or public events.. not that i really yearn for it..just that i know there are much better ppl than me in handling those stuffs....oh well..i did have a 3 minutes session on stage playing violin with the kids of Santa Jerome...that was basically it la..

time passes by..and we are reduced to c107 of 80 plus ppl... then..just last week.. Sab asked me..wanna sing on music nite? no one's singing chinese...! hmm..i guess thats the 1st time ever anyone asked me that. at 1st.. the invitation sounds tempting... we even tried youtubing some songs to see whether we can reach the high pitches..haha...red boxing in S2 at 12 midnight..of cos.. we didn settle for anything la..
but now...all the negative thoughts start flowing out.. wat if i sang out of tune? wat if i shivered on stage?

A quick check on wikipedia says the shells we ate isn't oysters...its mussels!!

wat an eventful day today..mom's car rolled over some sharp metal and burst a tyre... and i did a tyre transplant surgery..Alone!! no thanks to the Proton carjack also.really made by pros...turn non-stop for 15 minutes barely can jack up a bit.. took like 40 minutes of workout to change the bloody tyre.. then go to workshop...'boss..hole too big la..cannot repair..must change..' haih..RM 145 gone just like that....

finally got my convo photos..i must say..the chancellor's look with the specs halfway down the nose looks kinda horny...haha..the group pic was not bad though...

Sheng Wa and i finally decided to cook instead of watching Fantastic 4...so we went to Bangsar to get some quality ingredients...and 2 chefs started the work...cooking all the stuff in the proper order probably saved us 30 mins...so...step 1..plan ahead.

cook the mash potatoes, bake the oysters, cut up the capsicum Then..grill the chicken...fry the asparagus...

and in less than 1 hour...u got a Heavenly dish of grilled honey chicken with asparagus...baked oyster with garlic and cheese...chilled shrimp cocktail...mashed potatoes...asparagus fried with butter...All for Rm 13!!...and the taste...absolutely AWESOME!!
still cant help but wonder...should i open a restaurant??

Penang...day 2

Finally..after month and MOnths of waiting....i get to shout my lungs out into the mic in Redbox..Shiok..SHIOOKK....Gurney Plaza's food was better than Sunway i think..same color shirt??so wrong.....
now..this trip certainly didn end in Penang...we went to Bukit Tambun for Seafood.I mean....big crabs..fish..Mantis prawns...oyster...nutmeg juice....serious seafood....and i love every bit of it..
Not forgetting our night trip to Taiping...where the 'incident' happened..but well...night Safari was fun too!!

2 cows went missing from Taiping Zoo...ah..i found them..haha

all in all...thanks to Chern Wuay for being a great host once again.. and really sorry bout the car incident..we'll definately look forward to coming again!!

After going to Penang annually..theres still lots of places ive yet to explore...for instance...Butterfly Farm..not really an important tourist spot...but really eye opening nonetheless..

of cos..in a butterfly farm..u got Butterflies...this is the mating process..it takes 4-5 hours!! freaky horny buggers...we even tried to kacau them..but still..die osso dun separate..

and mating bugs too.. Woon Lee challenged me to pick up the milipede.. and guess what... it wasnt too bad..

quite eye opening...itll be better if i get to see butterflies popping out of the pupa...but well..next time la..

What we really need..(after baking in Seremban for 3 months..) is simply a night in Forest Field!! yeah..the name says it..cold...airconless...fresh air...and of cos..some entertainment in the form of CnC....

well..before i get the pictures to tell u all bout all the fun details about Penang..all the food, parks... let me describe an interesting thing that happened on day 2...

ok..i gotta admit 1st..my drawing is Bad... but its better than just words..

so...on the way to Taiping Zoo..since i was asleep...i didn see the dog...at that speed and the sound i hear..it must been a hard knock.. not onli that...we hear a dragging sound below the car...i came down of the car..expecting some minced meat below the car...or a bloody trail...None...except scratches and damages to the bumper..and a missing fog light..!!
however..on inpection of the damage...the fog light was actually in a concave compartment..the bumper is jutting out above and below the light...and it literally got ejected out!! dunno flew where osso.. quite impossible..must be a sharp point impact..so..heres my theory..

the dog must have looked at the car..and the dog's snout must have acted like a hammer...banging the light out!!
even wierder...theres an unknown engine part stuck below!! looks like a wiper water can..or radiator.. but its too big for his car!! and its empty..dry.. and filled with some sand!! Joo Ee claimed not to see it b4 knocking the dog.. but how on earth it became stuck undereath there??!

It certainly unfortunate that we got into this... but i agree with Brian and Woon Lee.. its either us or the dog.. and its probably the best outcome..if brake...we might have a back collision..if avoid...were into oncoming traffic.. so...thank God for the protection... and it didn dampen our trip after all!!

1. Stay healthy.. that means no caffeine pumped nights..eating well..sleeping well..acceptable
2. Be a wiser reviser...
test yourself... with what? unless all lecturers publish their own mcq book... we gotta use our imagination..
use ur imagination... ok...so its needed after all.. osso imagine the classroom and imitate the lecturer..hey..we do that pretty well!!
listen to music... been doing that a lot too
summarise it...well..we dun have notes anymore.. so..again..summarise wat?
night nerves... dun start revising new things b4 exam.. ull get panic and feel threatened...sympathetic overload..
3. on Exam day....
use ur lucky charm...so far i have none...Desmond's exams prayers used to be of great help..now that hes gone.. we need a replacement.. Tek Jee..its ur turn.
chew gums... eer..is it allowed 1st..

see? easier to write..harder to do.
