Never in my life did i imagine getting a house to stay would be this tough!! balancing the pros and cons of a house has proved to be harder than balancing a basketball on ur fingertip! distance vs price, near to shops vs near to hospital, single vs double storey..... endless criterias. and there's the agents that dun have a house u want.... but persuades u day and night to take the house u dun wan.. and agents who have ur house and makes life difficult for u to get it... saying things like "i wanna SEE ur money 1st.." " thats not the wat we do things...".to sum things up..its a Major Migraine getting house in Sban.

Day 1.. agent brought us to Rasah double storey (600...too ex for sban). single storey.. (too small.3rd room can onli fit a bed and nth else),haunted house..(the name says it..) Green Street Homes..(gated community, greens all over.. largest compund ever.. too far away and too ex) and Bkit Kepayang (too ex, and too jammed nth nearby) went to consoling ourselves that at least we got an eye opener..


Day 2.. brought my dad along to do some talking..better agent.. happens to be lecturer's contact. went to Rasah again(renovated..too ex) Oakland(not bad... can consider..) Garden Ave.( too big) and yet another Haunted mansion at Kemayan..
in the afternoon.. here comes an agent named SKY... i wish i can throw this guy into the SEA! shown us some nice houses n Sban 3.. and i really wanna jump on to get it oledi.. brand new place, cheap double storey..(450)..15 mins to hospital.. and u know wat.. this guy wanna get the money 1st...issue us a receipt..then after a few days onli let us see the real house on rent! and dun let us liase with the owner....wats to prevent him from running away??!! and agents and lecturers alike condemned this guy.. come on..even his name his fishy...he hung up on joo ee when she called! rude, arrogant, poor english but tries to talk like proffesor, guess wat.. ill now make sure the whole world dun do business with him!! (SKY..Nilai Harta agent..0129171888...see this number on a vacant house... DIE OSSO DUN CALL!!!)

Day3: Met May ling to see a few other houses...and we decided! No More agents! so me, Sab and Joo Ee went ourselves to find house owners. we knocked doors, knocked neighbors doors, called numbers on the house, went from garden to garden..and very ironically.. thru another agent.. found out that theres a tenant moving out late jan in Garden Avenue.. i must say..location wise.. better than Sban 3.. double storey.. well maintained.. and the landlady even agreed to rent to us at 400! must be heaven sent! (ok...eventually she got scolded by her husband..who asked for 500..so we finally settled at 450 la) 10 mins to hospital.. and full of shops nearby!

lesson learnt:
1. never jump on to the 1st house u like!
2. must get to know the owner!! even if ur dealing with agents
3. bargain, bargain and bargain!!! start with some ridiculously low price and work ur way up
4. good price without good location is a bad choice.
5. have connections to pull string for u...
