IMU convo...
time really flies... and its time for Convocation!!..well..of cos..this is a partial wan..no mortar board..no hood..and of cos..no Dr titles awarded... but still... its rewarding to be up there receiving ur cert, knowing that uve strived for 2 and a half years.. and its more meaningful now..since im on the Dean's list!!! also..time to meet up with long lost frens..catch up on updates...gossips... cheers!!of cos...the formalities...the procession...long wided speeches and prayers...rehearsals...that the only down side..and ive yet to get the pics on stage..so.. here just some pics to share with u all..
with Iggy...ties going same directions..

Pharmacy dudes..khai yong and heng soo...we met in seremban..clearking and working on the same case for days...as heng soo says.."in memorial or A**** *****(patient's confidentiality..haha)

all the big guns shot off as soon as its over!!..just managed to catch a few lecturers for pics..Dr Ranjit is one of them.
with my parents..of cos.


in a few years time...hopefully..we'll all be up there..in the Real convo...graduating with real titles...and i cant wait!!

Cooking session 2..
What can i do if i hang up my lab coat one day... what to do if my financial situation is in dire straits? wat if i got tired of hospitals one day? every successful person has a back up plan rite??

i've decided.. ill cook... and ill make all the restaurants around think of shifting...haha...so today..since we have a special guest Jo...we are cooking western today...and it certainly has been the Greatest so far....and its just the second cooking session...

on the menu...
2 baked salmon
3 baked dori
6 stuffed potatoes
fettuccini
mushroom sauce
salad.
steamed pork rolls
linan puka



sounds crazy for 4 persons??it is..

now...the preparation......
i was all alone for the 1st 30 mins...dicing garlic and onions, instead of getting minced meat..i gotta scrape out the meat from 2 chicken breast and dice it with a fruit knife!!...wow..talk about occupational hazards...then..boil the potatoes, slice, dig the contents out...fry the chicken...mix with the remaining potatoes...marinate the fishes...preheat the oven, bake the fishes with the potatoes....trust me..this is a very very short summary of all the steps...but takes onli 1 hour plus minus the baking...wow..were getting more and more efficient!!!


and in the meantime...Jo prepared the pasta and later steamed the pork rolls, brought all the way from Sabah
and the results?? nothing short of a mouth watering, over the top, dinner so much u can feed an army, undescribable...Dinner...and even the neighbor is invited over!! happy to the max...that everyone is happy to the max..


and to top it all, a 200 ringgit bottle of inniskillin ice wine from Labuan!! this is truly enjoyment to the max!!! a million thanks Jo!!!so..what the future holds?? who knows? but we will be doing this again..certainly..

  • "GO JUMP!!" (Dr Lim, said on the 7th floor, after a student dunno how to answer a question)
  • "I dun care if ur grandfather dies... ward work means Ward Work!!" (Prof Esha, warning on excuses on absentism)
  • "I dunno..maybe u all should go sell insurance, sales...just call the office and say u wanna leave..no prob" (Prof Harwant, after a simple miscommunication thats has little or no consequences at all)
  • " No Idea?? whats that?!! an animal? (Prof Harwant again, saying No Eye Deer is not an answer to anything)
  • " u failed..U Failed...U FAILED!!!" ( Prof Harwant yet again.. talking 3 cm away INTO MY EAR...for misunderstanding his sentence)
  • " U better ah..get out of my clinic..now ah" (Dr Loh, the nicest doctor, to a student who didn bring stethoscope to his clinic)
  • " Call her back.." (Dr Loh..after 3 seconds)
  • " dia belum mati u sudah mati o.." (Prof Kwa... joking to a patient...apparently its not so funny)
  • " Nanti lah!! u ingat ini computer kah..mau cepat cepat!!" (Dr Ahilan...to a patient who wants him to pull the canula out faster)
  • " Hardworking ah?...My balls ah!!" (Dr Woo, after knowing the reason y are we at the ward in the evening when we are in family medicine)

time flies...
its already 2 months in Seremban?? where is the good food?? directions please?? bills bills bills...still need to pay deposit??what to do?? and still need some getting used to KKS...

watched spiderman3... not that hard to get tickets in seremban..haha... very very predictable plot...with a less-than-canggih action tag team scene of sandman/venom vs spidey/goblin. anyway...finally got my 1st taste of seremban entertertainment..not too dissapointing after all..TGV seremban...pass!!!
expecting spidey 4? maybe...where did sandman go? did peter propose?? theres always another rock smashing down from Mars rite?? stay tuned..

Finally..some real food
As expected..i cant wait to get my itchy hands on some food to cook.. so far..Seremban food had been more than dissapointing...and the 2 best meals happen to be steamboat at our place!! come on Sban..where is ur taste? not to mention KL style pricing...overnight dishes.. too salty...no liao..sigh.... we certainly proved that we could do better...

from these...we chopped, marinated, fried, stirred, burned, steamed everything into....

fried vege with ginger wine

oyster sauce chicken..

fried homemade spring rolls by Woon Lee...not commercial wan ok...

Everything was Perfect!! taste just rite...cooking for 7 ppl really is a challenge...the amount.. ratio...all need to reestimate..haha... except for just 1 thing!!!!

our winter melon soup...meticulously prepared...all high expectations on this...
CRACKED!!! and there goes our soup....

but still... one great satisfying meal..which only cost 5 bucks a person...where to get? i wanna open restaurant oledi... Many thanks to Tek Jee for getting the stuff and so thick skinnedly borrowing utensils from neighbor.. Woon Lee.(actually she did most of the things la..) the couple for cleaning up... its just too fun and too satisfying!! ppl...lets do it again..bigger and nicer!!!

Happy Housemates

theres no doubt there are pros and cons about living out...but if housemates are a problem...then it'll be all cons... so im glad that i still get to enjoy my life in seremban...thanks to my wonderful housemates Tek Jee, Sab and Joo Ee...no lack of drama, but no lack of fun and sharing too!!! CHEERS!! and more cooking sessions ahead..
