ever since we're born, our senses are adapted to like nice smelling stuff, hate rotten stuff..so how come every pasar malam i go... no matter if its connaught, sri petaling or OUG... the loooongest queue would be the infamous chou tau fu? the name says it all! 臭豆腐smelly beancurd!! beats all the pirated VCD, drinks, durians, underwears...... the most amount of ppl aim for chou tau fu!!so today...after much persuasion, me and jo finally went to try it ourselves...(i mean..if u judge a restaurant by the number of ppl...this must be 6 star!!)... u could really smell the whift of the chou tau fu like 100 meters away!! although it smells close to s**t, the closest thing i can compare is like...hmmm... puke, mixed with rotten vege, add some taucu and salted slimy vege....and u get it la..cannot tahan!!

walking closer to the stall... i finally saw wat is it!!... the taufu itself is white and fresh...normal...soaked in slimy, greenish-yellow, gluey....sputum a.k.a phlegm!!!!! as the gal lift up the taufu, the stuff drips down, like saliva dripping down from a rabies dog!! then she throws it into oil...fry till crispy... and drains out the oil...pours it out like 30 cm from me....


ok.. my turn oledi?..too late to turn back... eer...minimum 4!? ok la...4... cost 2.40.. found a table and chair nearby...got ready drinks, pour out the chilli,....psych up myself...deep breath, exhale...and....(crunch!!)???? taste normal at 1st... hmm..as i wanna take the second bite...the smell came!!eeeww.. its crunchy on the outside, soft in the inside!!..kinda mushy... and the whole stuff that i smell just now..just burst into my nose!! eeeeeeeewww. at this time, jo had oledi bitten into it!!...cringed her face...frantically searched for places to spit it out... and im like..'swallow it.....' and she washed it down with the leong cha...haha wat a waste.. i took yet another piece..and just cant take it anymore...

great experience...but i think not anymore... its true..

a mans chau taufu is another mans strawberry milkshake and apple cheese pie!!

no offense to u chau taufu lovers...maybe ill try again....inthe very very very distant future..

oh.. we still smell like chau taufu after 30 mins walking... and my hair still does NOW!
