i got another clinic visit today...at Klinik Desa Pajam..u guys are asking now..where is that ulu place? well...near Mantin..its a one street town..and the clinic looks like the old kampung house.. (u know..houses wearing high heels..). inside there..old fashion TV..grandfather clock...wooden floor..its quite cozy actually..
as we enter...sister Valai is teaching the mothers to be on how to breastfeed their babies..the take home msg is....'tak payah bawa apa-apa botol semua...bawa dua tetek cukup!!'..u cant get anymore straight forward than that..! because its a small community..basically the nurses talks to everyone like a fren...how nice is that...compared to docs who dun even look at ur face!
todays objective is to learn how to check up on pregnant mothers... and for the 1st time.. i actually get to feel the baby by pressing on the mother's tummy..was really gentle at 1st..scared to harm the baby. but the mother actually told me..'tekan kuat lagi..tak sakit..tak tekan takkan rasa'..wow... i wish i could give a most cooperative award to this patient la...after feelilng the babies head and trying to shake it a bit..(all 6 of us)..i think the baby must be feeling heck of dizzy inside there oledi..(i can almost hear the baby saying..'hey stop that! u fools!'...haha..!)..no harm done..dun worry..everyone's smiling after that.
respects to sister Valai for handling the klinik almost single handedly.. doing everything from mopping and cleaning to doing home deliveries and checking like 30 mothers a day.. really inspiring. Respects to All Mothers..who painstakingly bear their child for almost 40 weeks.. and caring for them ALL THEIR LIVES... May God bless them all..
